In the professional domain industry, owners often have tunnel vision about where the market is going and how well their traffic converts compared to other sources. At Domain Advertising we believe that traffic testing is essential to understanding the range of traffic value that is available to optimize the revenue for our domain partners. An example of this is when it was found that search engine product spamming was the cause of such poor payment for CPA affiliates. The traffic source for these conversions was the product content from the CPA providers themselves. This affiliate dependency on product content allows the CPA providers to reduce revenue shares to the affiliates to be in line with value they provided. Unfortunately this severely undermined the use of CPA monetization by domain owners and other traffic providers.
